Homeward bound!
It's almost time to head home! I spent most of Thursday running around trying to clean up treasurer stuff for various groups --- ET, ESP, and the UA. For ET, I went to the bank and tried to make the summer treasurer a signatory. For ESP, I closed a bunch of tickets and processed a bunch of receipts. For the UA, I put together some more notes for my successor and processed an even larger number of receipts (including the usual load of junk from Student-Faculty Dinners). I think I'm leaving all of those in pretty good shape for the summer. (Shawn, in particular, has already caught up on a lot of the work I've been being lame about for ET... and it's been like three days...)
My current plan is to almost completely ignore my MIT obligations for the summer (except, probably, some coding, particularly for a new ASA database, Remit, and the scripts.mit.edu project). I'll be out of the state, so I've got a pretty good excuse for not thinking about them. With a little luck, this'll be a more relaxing summer than the last one was.
I'm currently on ET alum retreat. I'm basically going straight from retreat, to ET, to the airport. Then I'll see my parents again. And then... Bay Area for the summer. Hopefully the people I know in the area (notably Yuri and David actually in the Bay Area, and Tony who plans to come up to visit) will end up hanging out a bunch. Unlike last year, I won't be living in the same house with any of them, so it'll be a little harder, but...
